Who we are
This website is operated by Torch and Loom LLC, a Florida series limited liability company, and its protected series Torch and Loom LLC - PS Learning and Development, which does business as Torch & Loom: Learning & Development (together, "Torch & Loom," "we," "us"). This policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your information when you visit this website or contact us.
Our sister series Flux IT Solutions operates its own website and has its own privacy policy at fluxitsolutions.net/privacy.
Information we collect
When you contact us, we collect what you choose to share:
- Your name and email address
- Your organization (optional)
- The type of help you're looking for and any message you write
- Details you share during calls, meetings, or email with us
When you visit the site, we may also collect basic technical information such as browser type, device type, pages visited, and approximate location (city or region), to understand how the site is used.
How we use your information
- To reply to your inquiry and schedule a conversation
- To prepare proposals and deliver the services you request
- To send messages related to your request or an active engagement
- To improve our website and services
We do not sell your personal information, and we don't add you to marketing lists without your permission.
Scheduling and other services we use
When you ask for a discovery call, your request goes to us through our contact form and we reply to set a time. Our website and contact form are hosted on Amazon Web Services (AWS). We only use providers we need to run the business, and only share what they need to do their job.
Training engagements
When we deliver training for an organization, we may handle information about learners, such as names, attendance, and assessment results. That information belongs to the client organization. We use it only to deliver and report on the training, as described in our agreement with that organization.
Cookies
We run a small first-party analytics script ourselves to see what is working on the site. It sets two cookies: _fxid, a random visitor ID so we can count returning visits, and _fxvc, a visit counter (both expire after 1 year). It records the pages you view, how you arrived (referring site and campaign tags), screen size, language, browser, your IP address (to estimate approximate location and filter out bots), how far you scroll, and clicks on buttons and forms. This data is stored on our own AWS servers and is not shared or sold. We don't use advertising cookies. Our pages load fonts from Google Fonts, which receives your IP address when the fonts download. You can block or delete cookies in your browser; the site works without them.
How long we keep information
We keep contact and communication records only as long as needed to respond to you, provide services, and meet legal or accounting obligations. You can ask us to delete your information at any time.
Your choices
- Access or correction: ask us what we have about you, or ask us to fix it.
- Deletion: ask us to delete your information, unless we're required to keep it.
- Unsubscribe: ask us to stop emailing you at any time.
Security
We use industry-standard safeguards, including encryption in transit and access controls, to protect your information. No system is perfectly secure, but we work to keep your data safe.
Children
This website isn't directed to children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect their information.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as our services change. The "Last updated" date above shows when it last changed.
